ALG has developed a Buddy programme in which our experienced consultants provide support and clear guidance to those who have just joined our family, helping them feel integrated more quickly, organically and naturally. 

The Buddy is a senior guide who facilitates integration and provides continuous support to ALG’s new professionals through personal and close contact, sharing their knowledge of the business and the internal workings of the company. 

Our Buddies takes a long-term view of the performance of the new joiner by providing context and offering follow-up on demand and continuous support as needs arise. 

Buddies can be from any office and practice (to promote a transversal approach) and may monitor and mentor two or three new employees. Their support includes discussing career development tasks, changes of department or office, concerns about involvement in projects, problems in project performance, and doubts about how to deal with issues with team leaders and managers.

We foster a culture of openness and discovery through regular evaluations. These enable us to monitor professional development and progress, areas for improvement, and skills and competencies that need to be worked on.

These evaluations are organic and regular processes that enable us to reflect on ourselves and diagnose our personal and professional progress. This is then compared to the evaluation by our manager, weighing the points of view and proposing areas for improvement through reciprocal and constructive feedback. Open and empathetic dialogue, advice and recommendations mean everyone can continue their professional journey in comfort, with self-confidence and new challenges. 

The promotions proposed for the latest six-month period exceeded the average for the last seven years, with promotion of 23% of the workforce. 

Team leaders, engagement managers and senior engagement managers can freely express their vision in short presentations to the committee. This enables them to contribute ideas and create open debate on: the approach they believe the company should take; appropriate team management and the commercial mission; and how to improve processes and tasks or the performance of departments.
