ALG, part of the contract-winning consortium for EASA’s latest framework programme

04 Oct, 2016

The consortium formed by ALG, IATA CONSULTING (International), NTU (Denmark), BUREAU VERITAS (France) and SOFRECO (France), has been declared the winning bidder of the first lot of the international tendering process held by the European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA), aimed at providing support services to international cooperation activities.

For this framework programme, EASA, whose primary mission is the air safety of European citizens, has sought to commission highly competent and experienced experts to provide support through international consulting and/or training services that respond to technical cooperation needs and actions. Within the so-named 'Lot. 1: Aviation consulting & training services including project management & logistical support', ALG has the opportunity to take part in the largest EASA framework programme of recent years. After a thorough technical and financial evaluation by EASA, the consortium has managed to obtain a higher evaluation than the other stakeholders, which included many of the leading air transport consultancies worldwide. The lot awarded to the consortium of which ALG is a member will have a duration of four years and a maximum estimated value of € 20 M.

For ALG, this is a strategic project at both European and international level, as this milestone will help to increase the participation led by EASA in all regions where this agency carries out international cooperation work, whether for regulatory dissemination or support to institutions or the industry, such as South-East Asia, China, Eastern Europe and Latin America.
